About the role
We are looking for a Science Lead to join our team in Dublin. This researcher will lead our research and validation team and guide our R&D roadmaps for our innovative mobile-based diagnostics platform.
What you'll be doing
- Managing a team of researchers and supporting staff to ensure projects are completed in time and within budget.
- Developing research proposals, along with budgets and timelines for new projects.
- Participating in strategic planning activities.
- Identifying new research opportunities.
- Assess potential commercial applications of research and develop long-term research plans.
- Reviewing scientific publications and existing literature.
- Evaluating the applications and qualifications of researchers applying for positions.
- Communicating scientific findings to the public and other research in written and verbal forms through published research, papers or presentations at scientific conferences.
What you'll need
- PhD in a relevant field. (E.g. biology, animal health, diagnostics, veterinary science, etc.)
- Portfolio of papers you authored/co-authored/ or were involved in.
- A proven track record of developing experimental protocols and finding innovative ways to test new ideas.
- At least two years of experience managing a team of people.
Desirable
- Experience with parasitology.
- Experience in the animal health space.
